What a privilege to stay in the Casita at Tierra-Alta. It was not what we expected – it was so much more! Here are a few reasons why:
Location. Location. Location: We had morning coffee on the front porch to take in some of the most fantastic colorful sunrises. And we planned many afternoon and evening meals for the back patio so we could greet hikers making their way up Boston Hill.
We often left our car under the covered parking spot below the Casita, because it’s only a 5-minute trek down the hill to the Art District, shops, and restaurants along Bullard Street.
Extras you don’t get in most rentals: We were pleased to find a fully-equipped kitchen that included most small appliances -- even a hot air popcorn popper.
Full-size bottles of shampoo and conditioner in the shower, and ample sets of folded towels and sheets in the linen closet. The owner has thought of just about everything. Trust us: you won’t run out of toilet tissue or paper towels.
About the owner, Joe Hutto: Always available when you need him, yet ever-respectful of your privacy. And totally responsive. On one occasion we casually mentioned wishing for a warmer bed blanket. Almost the next day, he delivered a new blanket along with a new duvet cover. Joe Hutto took great care of us.
